Movement and visual artist exploring how choreography shaped by neurological limitation becomes a site of endurance, precision, and cathartic transformation. Her work bridges performance and visual storytelling, rendering restriction as power on both stage and screen.

Currently in the process of choreographing her third evening-length performance.

Sierra Hendrix is a movement and film artist based in Brooklyn, NYC. She graduated magna cum laude from Cornish College of the Arts Advanced Degree Program in 2017. She is a former apprentice for GALLIM. After suffering from multiple brain injuries, her dance career has shifted to producing and choreographing her own work. Over the past 5 years, she has independently produced two evening-length performances in NYC. Her choreography has been shown at Adams Theater, BASE: Experimental Arts + Space, Coffey Street Studios, Turnpark Art Space and more. Her films have been presented at Disco Riot’s Queer Mvmnt Festival, Men in Dance Festival, TUFF festival and more.
